Tribhuvan University (TU) could be a public university in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. Established in 1959, TU is that the oldest of the colleges in Kingdom of Nepal. entrance in 2013-2014 was eighth largest within the world.

The university offers one hundred fifteen courses for the technical proficiency certificate level. TU offers 1079 courses at Bachelors level and one thousand courses at Master’s level. TU ran its programmes solely through its constituent campuses before 1980. The University Council is that the supreme body that produces choices on policies, budget, rules and laws and also the formation of special committees and commissions.
Executive Council implements operational choices whereas the University Council accepts donations to the university. It makes choices on grants, affiliation to non-public campuses and appointments of university officers.
The Academic Council makes choices on policies and practices concerning program, teaching, examinations and analysis.
